The History of Juxtaposed Clothing

From the ground up
Juxtaposed Clothing was established in July of 2011, at 3 a.m. in an Atlanta bedroom. The CEO of Juxt, James Cameron, had a vision to create a clothing line and brought it to team members Dylan Robin and Anthon Brown. With their encouragement and insight Juxtaposed Clothing was born.

Where did the name come from?
James is a lover of literature and Juxtaposition is his favorite literary element. After changing the tense, Juxtaposed, which means a close contradiction, was the best fit for a dynamic company's name.

What was "the vision"?
The initial vision was of a Bahama Mama drink dressed up like it's name. This concept would later become our first release entitled "Bahama Mama"(below).

What types of clothing does Juxt produce?
During our first year of production, we produced t-shirts,hats,sweaters,and an iron-on logo patch. Going forward we are including more dynamic types of clothing including button-up shirts and jackets; while keeping our original look.

What makes Juxtaposed different from other lines, both established and upcoming?
Two of our main goals are to always produce art and to never be a "name on a shirt". As far as art, we want every product to be contributions to the worlds of art and fashion. Never becoming a "name on a shirt" means to never become a company that is standard and typical.
